About

Paul's been playing and writing music in Minneapolis, MN for over twenty years. Before that, he was the annoying kid who loudly sang along with every song on the radio. The first album he ever got was Billy Joel's Glass Houses, which cracked in half the next day when he let it roll out of the jacket, down some stairs, and into the piano. He got a healthy dose of classic rock growing up, but his bigger influences came from new wave and the alternative bands. The Police, Talking Heads, Pearl Jam, The Beatles, John Mayer, Crowded House, Muse, U2, Nirvana, Ben Folds and Led Zeppelin are influences.

Paul plays emotionally-charged Indie Rock. It is uniquely melodic; distinctive yet simple.  “My favorite songs tend to be the ones that make me feel good. I try to write songs like that. Nothing beats finding a combination of melody, harmony, rhythm, and lyric that elicits a strong emotion.”

He is currently giving solo performances with his voice and acoustic guitar in small venues throughout the Twin Cities of Minnesota. He enjoys writing and recording music in his home studio. Listen to some of his songs by downloading or streaming them. Paul also gives guitar lessons in Minneapolis through Sound Waves Guitar Instruction.
